For a long time, I struggled with knowing my purpose. I started a website, MotivationalAspects.com, with the simple idea of encouraging people. At first, it was just about sharing everyday topics like learning to love yourself, the pros and cons of buying a home, and other motivational pieces. But I always knew deep down that I wanted it to mean more.
Recently, after the passing of my cousin, my perspective changed. She was a true champion for women, for mental health, for those in hospice, and especially for survivors of domestic violence. She left a mark on so many lives, and her impact is clear in the countless people who say she saved, guided, or gave them hope. Her work and legacy opened my eyes to what I want to dedicate myself to.
Many women live in situations that feel impossible to escape because of fear, consequences, or circumstances. But I also know that help is out there, and that awareness and support can make the difference between staying trapped and finding freedom. I’ve already taken small steps, like donating to organizations like Shade Tree, but I want to do more.
That’s where my purpose lies: to use my voice and my platform to stand up for women and children, to raise awareness about domestic violence and mental health, and to connect people with the resources and encouragement they need.
This is how I honor my cousin’s legacy and create my own. She made a difference, left a mark, and now it’s my turn to carry that work forward.
